By Keith Hiscock and Robert Irving
Softback edition
Lundy is a great place to see marine wildlife and it became the first voluntary marine reserve in Britain in 1971.
Its history since then has seen it become the first statuary Marine Nature Reserve, the first No-Take Zone and then the first Marine Conservation Zone and tells the story of the importance of the island for the conservation of all marine wildlife.
In the book, the two people who most consistently contributed to the development of marine conservation at Lundy, Keith and Robert, describe the major landmarks, illustrate some of the marine-life highlights and celebrate the success of all of those who were involved over the next 40 years.
It also documents some of the early studies of marine life that used scuba diving and the methods that had to be developed for sampling and monitoring.
The book was published as a limited edition and signed and numbered by the authors.
